muhsin corbbrey shows his warrior spirit despite loss
Fighting as the Co Main event for Pro Elite’s EliteXC - Return of the King, Muhsin Corbbrey entered into a 10 week training camp that included an extended trip at Tiger Muay Thai & MMA Phuket. ( See our Camp Showcase )
Contracted to fight at 160lbs, Corbbrey agreed to still compete after his opponent, UFC/PRIDE veteran Nick Diaz weighed in 9 pounds OVER the contracted weight.
After stopping several of Diaz’s takedown attempts Muhsin was ahead on Sherdog.com’s scorecard after the first round. After a tough fought second round it was anybody’s fight. In the third and final round of the fight, Muhsin fell victim to a Diaz takedown and eventual mount. Defending strikes while being mounted, the ref eventually stopped the fight halfway through the final round. Read Sherdog’s Play-By-Play of the fight here.
Muhsin showed great head movement and Thai boxing skills in his bout. Look for Corbbrey to continue building his fan base on the Showtime Television network as he drops down to the 150lbs weight division.
