Every Full Moon Tiger Muay Thai hosts an all you can eat/drink BBQ for 350 baht.

The food is followed by a night of Muay Thai, Boxing, and MMA smoker fights. Following the fights several camp guests enjoy folk song singing preformed by the Thai instructors. (watch the BBQ Beatdown MMA smoker fights)

Displaying his down to earth attitude UFC superstar Alan Belcher grabbed the guitar and gave TMT guests his best MTV Unplugged concert.

2x K-1 Max champion Buakaw Por Pramuk was showcased on a “Night of Champions” fight card held in Patong Boxing Stadium.

The evenings fight card featured two TMT fighters. Robert faced a tough up and coming fighter from Por Pramuk gym losing in the 4th by TKO.

Ritt showcased why he is considered one of the island’s top fighters by winning his fight via KO in the 3rd round. Buakaw was featured in a Wai Kru exhibition followed by a round of hitting the pads.

Ash Alabouch is currently training at MMA Phuket. With a kickboxing record of 19 wins, 7 loses and an amateur boxing record of 17-4 he is an experienced veteran with serious striking skills.

Ash has recently transitioning his focus to instructing and started to work with several of Montreal Canada’s top MMA fighters, including Stephane Dube and Steve Bosse.

Between the 25th of April and May the 13th Muhsin Corbbrey trained together with Team MMA Thailand at the Tiger Mauy Thai training facility. He was here to jumpstart his trainingcamp and to prepare for his upcoming EliteXC fight against UFC veteran Nick Diaz which is scheduled on June the 14th

Listen to Ray Elbe as he comments on his recent Gi grappling matches in Abu Dhabi. Ray represented the USA in the 2008 Abu Dhabi International Cup that was presented by BTT BB Carlos Santos under the patronage of HH Sheikh Zayed Bin Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The event awarded over 33,000$ USD as prize money.

Tiger Muay Thai would like to thank Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Samy Aljamal for his instructional class covering the fundamentals of the Arm Drag. Samy won the 1999 Abu Dhabi Championship and in 2000 took first place in the World’s Championship (Masters Division).

Fighting in the Governor’s Cup in Khabarovsk Russia, Ray and Ngoo were treated to a special VIP trip to a former KGB Military training compound. They were given a brief weapons demonstration, and then were given the opportunity to shoot all the weapons displayed by the Russian Military.

Robert Lek, trainer and Muay Thai fighter at the Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket competes in a fun camp contest. The Thai’s wanted to see who could kick 50 Thai kicks against the pad’s the quickest. Robert won the contest in under 23 seconds! Other Camp trainers who participated in the contest included; Ajarn Mac, Rose, Ritt, Prathet, and Neung.

Representing Team MMA Thailand, Muay Thai fighter, Ann beats a male competitor at the South East Asian Grappling III games held in Bangkok Thailand.

She eventually won gold in her division. Besides competing in MT and Submission Grappling, Ann holds the historic feat of winning the first sanctioned MMA fight held in Thailand between two female fighters.

Ben Mitchell Star of several International Movies recently visited the Tiger Muay Thai training facility. Mitchell took a private with TMT advance MT instructor Kru Yod. Yod has worked with several of the MMA fighters including; Bobby Southworth, Ray Elbe, Muhsin Cobbrey, and Jess Liaudin.

Witness the Buddhist Monks offer their blessings for the new “Samprapoom”, or spirit house in a ceremonly at the training camp.

Nine monks from Wat Dtai temple in Chalong, Phuket, Thailand came and performed the blessings, which is sometimes called a “String” and “Water” blessing by the locals.
