Ray Elbe started training in Mixed Martial Arts while attending Grand Canyon University in Phoenix Arizona. While obtaining a degree in Elementary Education, Ray spent his nights training to become a professional athlete. Making his professional debut in November of 2002, Elbe originally trained Vale Tudo under WEC Bantamweight veteran Del Hawkins, before finding Macahdo Purple Belt Steve Hochuli. Training Under Hochuli, Elbe began to define his fighting style with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Techniques.
Upon Graduating College in 2005 with a bachelors degree, Elbe relocated to Irvine, Orange County, California to train at the No Limits, Lotus Club training facility, which is home to the world renowned Team Oyama competition fight team.
Elbe is a 3x PPV veteran who has fought Internationally in MMA, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He is a veteran of over 30 (22 wins, 11 loses) professional MMA fights and is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under Lotus Club instructor, and former Gladiator Challenge LW MMA fighter Juliano Prado.
